I really wish we had spent a couple nights here to enjoy the grounds, dining, and spa. Booked for a gift for my parents and they absolutely loved it. They loved the interior of the hotel and the grounds were beautiful to walk around. They said the room was lovely and clean and the food was also very good. Carton House Golf Club has two courses, one designed by Mark O'Meara and opened in 2002, and the other designed by Colin Montgomerie and opened in 2003.

CMPD said Tuesday those two people have not been charged with anything at this time. The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed that one of its deputy marshals, Thomas Weeks, was among those killed. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were shot, and three of them died, the police said.

Construction workers said there were nearly 100 people working at the site at the time of the fire. On Thursday, fire officials confirmed that 15 workers were rescued from the blaze. The Starcraft 40-passenger bus was traveling westbound on Exposition Boulevard with only the driver and one passenger aboard when the collision occurred, according to a statement from USC Transportation. The bus driver and passenger were the two most severely injured, according to fire department officials.
The officers were from multiple agencies.

Officials said firefighters were tasked with extinguishing the "very fast-moving" fire, which was over 2,000 degrees. A friend of one of the men who was killed in the fire, 30-year-old Demonte Sherrill, told WCNC Charlotte they fear he died when the building collapsed on top of him.
Charlotte firefighters arrived within minutes of the first call, which was placed around 9 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. Fire officials said over 90 firefighters fought the fire and rescued 15 workers from the burning construction site. One person had to be rescued after becoming trapped atop a crane. That person was later rescued by Charlotte firefighters and was transported by Medic with non-life-threatening injuries. "We may be talking about more tragedy than ... we're talking about today," Johnson said Friday of the life-threatening situation his firefighters experienced Thursday. “The men and women of this department put themselves in harm’s way and actually had to call for assistance themselves to get out of this fire.
